(Agaricus Blazei Murill)
A whimsically shaped mushroom that looks a bit like a regular mushroom, but with a characteristic almond flavour and aroma. The top is brown, the stem white in colour and longer than that of a mushroom. Recently grown on a small scale in the Netherlands.

Store almond mushrooms in the refrigerator. They can be kept for a few days. Like most mushrooms, they are most delicious when fresh.
Gently clean almond mushrooms with a brush or a piece of kitchen paper.
Also very tasty
This mushroom grows in bunches, often at the foot of poplars when found in the wild, as well as elder trees, elms and mulberries. Read more…
